In the US we loved to buy Salt and Pepper chips (krinkle cut) from Kettle Foods. We often bought them at Whole Foods if we were going to have a nice “beer and chips” before dinner or just hang in front of the TV in the evening.

The other day in Kaufhof we found the same, just not krinkle cut, and just had to have them … sorry … they just did not taste at all.

Sure the US ones are too fatty, imho, but the pepper had a bit of a bite and clearly covered the taste of fat completely. The ones we god here were fatty, flat and tasteless. I was almost thinking that they forgot to add the pepper. Without the pepper bite the salt could not at all cover for the very fatty ships – from a very nice potato chip to a dead slice of greasy potato – what a letdown!
